Reliability Engineer

Short description

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer who will further shape the professionalization of Chane Terminals.

Where will you work?

The Asset Integrity department is the central department that is primarily responsible for the integrity, reliability and availability of the installations. The department is responsible for the establishment and management of standards and specifications, maintenance plans and inspection programmes, and manages the governance of risks and associated priorities for all Chane Terminals.

The Reliability Engineer is the linchpin when it comes to optimising the performance of our installations in terms of safety, technical availability and maintenance costs.

The Reliability engineer assesses and manages the critical systems and equipment. Analyzing the maintenance carried out on these systems and equipment with the aim of reducing malfunctions and improving maintenance.

Job description

  • The Reliability Engineer supports the Maintenance Manager in continuously improving the reliability of the equipment by optimizing maintenance programs (RBM).
  • The Reliability Engineer supports the Business Unit in managing the risks of the terminals, including budget governance to mitigate them in a timely manner.
  • Drawing up and optimising the multi-year Terminal Master Plan.
  • You facilitate investigations into Reliability incidents, and ensure that recommendations are followed.
  • You are therefore the "spider in the web" of the continuous improvement of all business processes that ensure that a Terminal is safe, available and profitable.


  • You have HBO (+) working and thinking level and you enjoy working with people
  • You have a number of years of experience in a similar position or, for example, you have extensive experience with technology and would like to broaden your horizons;
  • You are a team player with an eye for internal and external customer processes.
  • You have an open personality, are honest, calm and social and switch easily with different people
